Early Career Zachary Newell’s journey in the golf industry began at the Misquamicut Golf Course, where he worked as a greenskeeper. During his time there, he gained invaluable knowledge about the maintenance and agronomy of a golf course. The Misquamicut Club, known as one of the most prestigious private courses in the country, provided the perfect environment for Zach to develop a deep understanding of golf course management.
Passion for Coaching and Competition Zach’s passion for golf flourished as he competed at the varsity level, finding a love for both coaching and playing. His dedication to the sport led him to Johnson and Wales University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Sports Management and Golf Management.
Internships and Professional Growth While in college, Zach honed his skills in club and tournament management through an internship at Crandon Golf Course in Key Biscayne. His second internship with the Crandon Golf Academy proved pivotal, as it set the stage for his career as a teaching professional. In 2014, Zach secured a full-time position with the Academy, where he discovered his true calling as a golf instructor.
Focus on Junior Golf As a certified US Kids Golf instructor, Zach shifted his focus to nurturing young talent. His role as Junior Golf Director allowed him to steer the Academy toward enhancing youth golf development and elevating the elite golf program. Under his guidance, his students achieved significant success in local, regional, and even World Golf Championships. In 2022, fifteen of Zach’s students competed in the US Kids World Golf Championship, a testament to his effective coaching. That same year, he was honored with the Top 50 US Kids Golf Coach Award for his dedication to growing the game.
Newell Golf School After nine years at the Crandon Golf Academy, Zach moved to Boca Raton, Florida, bringing his expertise to a new venture. In 2022, he launched Newell Golf at the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club. The school offers state-of-the-art technology and practice facilities, enabling juniors to elevate their game. Under Zach’s leadership, the once-private course transformed into a vibrant public facility, offering programs for juniors, veterans, and adults.
Recent Achievements Zachary Newell now serves as the owner and Director of Instruction at Newell Golf School. His commitment to excellence continued to be recognized in 2024 when he received his second Top 50 US Kids Golf Coach Award. His dedication to growing the game and developing new talent has made a lasting impact on the golf community in Boca Raton and beyond.

Cameron Newell began his athletic journey as a high-level baseball player, competing at the collegiate level. During his time as a college athlete, Cameron honed his skills in competition and coaching, gaining valuable experience in high-performance sports.
Cameron’s professional career in the golf industry started as a greenskeeper at the Misquamicut Golf Club. Throughout his college years, Cameron engaged in several internships that enriched his experience and prepared him for a career as a teaching professional. Notably, he interned with the Crandon Golf Academy during the summers, where he assisted the Junior Golf Director with the junior program operations. His commitment to professional growth culminated in a certification in Turf Management, further solidifying his expertise in golf course maintenance and operations.
After completing his collegiate education, Cameron began his career as a Teaching Professional at the Crandon Golf Academy. There, he contributed significantly to the Junior Programs and overall operations. In 2022, Cameron joined Newell Golf as the Junior Golf Director, where he has been instrumental in expanding the golf school’s programs.
As a coach, Cameron excels in his role as a junior instructor and teaching professional. He leads the ladies’ golf programs, junior golf programs, and the PGA Jr. League. His extensive knowledge and experience enable students of all ages to improve their performance and reach their highest potential. Under Cameron’s guidance, the golf school continues to grow and thrive, benefiting from his expertise and dedication.

Tyler Newell brings a unique blend of coaching expertise, athletic experience, and industry knowledge to the golf community. With over two years at Newell Golf (2024-Present), Tyler specializes in coaching young junior golfers, helping them develop skills and a passion for the game. He also serves as the Program Director for Newell Golf, managing programs at Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club and Park Ridge Golf Course.
A multi-sport athlete and dedicated coach, Tyler’s coaching background spans baseball, basketball and golf. He was an assistant varsity and JV baseball coach at Stonington High School (CT), contributing to the team’s 2017 ECC Championship win. His coaching experience also includes youth baseball, basketball and a volunteer position at Johnson & Wales University.
Tyler’s athletic career includes being a 4-year letterman and team captain as a catcher in both high school and college baseball, as well as participation in basketball and football.
In the golf industry, Tyler has hands on experience ranging from golf course maintenance to club fitting and building. He was formerly a club fitter for TaylorMade Golf in the South Florida region, having apprenticed under Master Club Fitter Adam Freedman, His deep technical knowledge complements his coaching, offering a comprehensive approach to player development.
Beyond golf, Tyler’s diverse background includes 15 years in restaurant management, bartending, and event coordination at top venues like the Forbes 15-star Ocean House Resort and premier golf resorts in Florida.
